The aramid fibre-based pad compound used provides excellent initial bite from cold, which improves further with subsequent use as the heat builds up, offering enhancedĀ performance and resistance to brake fade upto 700ĀŗC.
The compound used also produces minimal dust and maintains an OE-like level of noise, so is perfectly suited to daily use without any compromise.

Bedding-in:
TheĀ following steps should be followed to correctly ābed-inā your new brakes.
Brake pad/ disc replacement will initially reduce your vehicle's braking performance until fully ābeddedā in.Ā
Step 1 - Gently drive approximately 250 urban miles (not motorway miles where brakes are used less) to allow the pads toĀ coat the surfaceĀ and establish full contact with the disc face.Ā
Step 2 - Ensuring it is safe and legal to do so, perform 8 stops from 70mph to 30mph at 300-yard intervals followed by coasting to allow the brakes to cool.Ā
Discs / pads can take up to 1200 miles to fully bed in, during which time it is perfectly normal to experience aĀ degree of smoke, odourĀ or squeal.
